Needler Projectiles
Needler projectiles are so called because the projectile itself is shaped much like a needle, which results in very high penetration efficiency. Such projectiles usually utilize caseless ammunition, and specifically use a larger quantity of propellant than a normal round in order to achieve a high velocity. The speed at which such rounds travel through targets almost always results in liquification, and the effects are actually magnified by hard armor rather than hampered hy it since the projectile often can not penetrate all the way through the back half and winds up ricocheting or fragmenting inside the armor instead.
